CRYSTAL
CLEAR WATER
Not to be overwhelmed by the beauty of water.
I immediately jumped on the water when I saw the crystal clear water from
Hindag-an Falls, not knowing that it was too deep for me and I almost drown.
When my uncle (my mother’s younger brother)
has his Philippine vacation, the whole family went to Saint Bernard, Southern
Leyte back in 2019. There we celebrated our Lola’s 76th birthday. As part of
the celebration and family vacation, we went to Hindag-an Falls. I was so
excited at that time, as it’s my first time to visit there.
I’ve heard from my cousins that the said falls
is very good, it has a very clear and cold water. So when we arrive there, when
I saw the crystal clear water thought that was shallow for me to jump in, I
almost drown. Good thing my mother saw me, that I was grasping in the water. So
she immediately jumped in and drag me out from the water. She asked me, have you not checked the water yet before
you jumped in?
At that moment, I realized from my mother’s
question that not to be overwhelmed by my excitement before doing anything for
myself. This may cause something bad for without checking on it yet.
Since then, I always apply to myself that
before I make decisions or do something I always ask consent from my parents
and check if this will bring me good or bad for me.
